My First Giveaway!

Alright kiddies, the time has come! The oh-so-awaited, much-anticipated, very first giveaway here at La Kocinera has arrived!

Now I’m no Agatha Christie, but I think after reading the two previous postsboth dealing with tartsyou have probably guessed that my prize has something to do with tarts, correct? Well congratulations, all you smarty-pants! You were right! The beautiful, lovely, and all-around awesome prize up for grabs is this…

A Le Creuset tart dish! Measuring 9.5 inches in diameter, this is truly the perfect piece of cookware to hold all of your tart-related dreams, disasters, and discoveries.

Now I have to tell you, there is no way I’d be able to offer you a great prize such as this all on my own. Thanks to the fabbity fab folks over at CSN, however, I can! I’ve had a great experience working with them on this project and I highly recommend that you check out their many other websites, (seriously there’s over 200!) ranging from dining room furniture to fitness equipment to bakeware and beyond. They’re quite amazing.

Now that you know what prize possibly awaits you, here’s how to enter!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, telling me what’s the first thing you’d make using this tart dish. It doesn’t have to be something particularly grand, like a superhuman crème brulee, or anything like that. Honestly, you could put something like, “I’m gonna fill it with ice cream and revel in my prize-winning skillz” and it would still count as an entry to me. Just make sure that I have a way of e-mailing you. If you’ve got it listed on a Blogger account or something, that’s great, but if you don’t just send me an e-mail at kocinera@gmail.com, telling me what name you used in the comments and what your e-mail address is. That way I can be sure that I can contact the winner.

Beyond an entry in the comment section, you can get additional entries by doing one or both of the following…

  1. “Like” this blog’s page on Facebook
  2. Become a follower through Google/Blogger

Again, if you “Like” the Facebook page, please post on the wall or send me an e-mail if your name on there is different from your screen name in your comment, as I would hate for someone to win and me not be able to contact them. I know I’m being over-explanatory, but in case you haven’t noticed by now I’m a bit of a geek, and us geeks like our plans and instructions to be nice and clear.

Finally, the entry period for this giveaway will last from today, August 9, 2010 to September 9, 2010, giving you a full month to make sure you’ve entered!

So there you have it! Enter my delightful little giveaway and you could be the proud owner of a brand new, Le Creuset tart dish! Comment/Facebook/Google-follow away!

*Please note: This giveaway is for the U.S. and Canada only. I’m sorry, lovely international readers! I still wuv you!

Hmmm… I was just thinking I don't have a tart pan and wish I did. I think a bacon, onion tart sounds mighty tempting.

I don't have a tart pan, but I'm fairly certain that starting with a Le Creuset would be the best way!

I've never made a tart before! But I would absolutely love to!! cooking is my love but baking is new to me, so far my expertise spans as far as muffins and cookies and I've made one pie in, dare I say, a frozen pie crust *shriek* – Since starting this culinary blogging adventure I am inspired to step outside of my comfort zone and start exploring this glorious world of BAKING! I guess now all I need are some baking accessories – you inspire me Koci!!!!

@mangiabella: Baking is definitely an adventure! hehe A lavender pear tart sounds amazing!

@silverbeemoon: CSN is basically a one-stop shopping website, with sections and websites dedicated to pretty much anything you can imagine. Seriously, they have a website dedicated to selling shag rugs! And Le Creuset is quite possibly one of the world's favorite cooking supply companies, known for their beautiful enameled cookware and high quality.

I love my Le Creuset bakeware…very similar to Emile Henry. It bakes so evenly, and sticking is hardly ever an issue! If I win, I'll make a no-bake cheesecake tart with a graham crust!

Hi Koci – I'd have to make that incredible Olives Tart. It's one of our absolute favorites. Flaky crust, caramelized onions, olive tapenade, goat cheese, anchovies, plenty of garlic… UUMMM, Kate@kateiscooking
